Three Things About Me
  1. My biggest weakness is math, like I'm so bad at it it's almost ridiculous.
  2. I have a little (not so little) beagle who is turning 9 this year and he's my entire heart.
  3. I speak 3 languages though I'm still trying to get better at French.
Questions for Me

      1. What is your favorite book quote?

"First the colors. Then the humans." - Markus Zusak, The Book Thief

I don't even know if it's my favorite quote of all time but this quote just jumps out at me. I remember the first time I picked up The Book Thief at a bookstore and read those lines, I literally felt air leave my lungs just because of how captivating and powerful it was just with a few words.

      2. Is there a movie or series that you think is better than the book

I absolutely loved Little Women (2019)! The book was good as well but I felt like it was pretty boring at times and hard to get into. However, the movie just brought you in so quickly and really brought the characters to life, had you rooting for them, grieving with them, dreaming with them. The character development shown was amazing. It also might've helped that it had such great actors.

      3. Besides books what do you keep on your bookshelves?

If I buy a trinket that is specific to a book/series, I put them in front of those books. For example, I have a mockingjay pin and two Gallagher Academy pins. I have some handmade items from Latin America including a Russian Nesting Doll and some handpainted wooden fish.

And of course I have a Funko Pop of the one and only Fred Weasley.

      4. Do you prefer reading paperbacks, hardcovers, e-books? Reading or audiobooks?

I prefer reading hardcovers just because I don't have to worry much about them getting bent but floppy paperbacks are also a huge win. I prefer reading physical books over audiobooks.

      5. What book got you into reading?

Cross my Heart and Hope to Spy by Ally Carter (since I read this third book first, by accident). The series still has a huge place in my heart and if it weren't for those books, I definitely wouldn't be as big of a reader as I am now.

My Favorite Posts

My First Book Haul was such a great post because it was the biggest haul I'd ever bought and it was such a fun experience to go the book sale I went to.

My The Raven Boys Review was such a long review but it was so great to make and really let out my love and experience with the book which I think really embodies why I became a book blogger in the first place, to have an outlet for all my thoughts.

My Bookshelf Organization post which is my most popular post. I loved the research I did for it and seeing how unique bookshelf organization is for each reader.

My Questions for You

  3. Thank you for the tag! Hm, I'd say I dislike crime novels, cause they're just so stressful. And I've definitely read a lot of self-pubs, and a lot of them were amazing. I'm not sure I had a favorite in required reading at school! Where I am from, it's more like recommended reading, rather than required reading. So I just read whatever I wanted xD I don't really annotate my books cause I don't really ever come back to them - and I definitely buy mostly just online! That's because mostly read ebooks, as they're much more accessible when you're international.

    1. I completely agree with you with annotating books! I sometimes wish I did it because there are some scenes/quotes that are so powerful but I don't really re-read books ever so it'd be a waste of time. Also, really interesting that you don't really have required reading where you're from. Sometimes I wonder if some of the books we read weren't required, maybe they'd be more enjoyable to students in general.
